dwmnr: $HUSA - This stock dropped almost 25% today on huge volume, after being parabolic for the last couple of months. It was due for a pullback, so I figured it was profit taking. Excuse the length of this post, but I found the following after hours:

- texastrader: $HUSA - Greetings @Poppy. This stock was "discussed" several weeks ago in the forum. I pointed out a few disparaging things regarding this "stock" which can be found at nasdaq.com . You will find everything disclosed about the dry wells, the expenses incurred for drilling etc. Wildcatting is not without risk, but to have an 80% or thereabouts failure rate, is well, not really oil exploration. There are too many ways to have success in the oil and gas business without that many failures, dry holes and capped wells. Good research brings "danger Will Robinson" in some cases, and great returns in others. Kudos to you @Poppy. Best, TT

- texastrader: $HUSA - You might want to check on the company and see if you can figure out why no insiders have bought, why since 2007 they haven't done anything stateside since Tx./ La. and all their wells are dry in Columbia. I dunno much, I'm just reading their reports. 18% institutional ownership - not much. Best, TT
- circlem: $HUSA - I'm looking more for the fundamental picture. The #dividend doesn't seem that great to me and earnings are nothing stellar. Now maybe there is something in the background. Some news that is about to be released or maybe it's just the pump and dump stock of the day. I don't know. I do know that I will not be a buyer of $HUSA at this time and price near 14. I have no interest in becoming a bag holder while the smart buyers such as yourself take profits and head for the exit. I believe you said that you bought near 5 so you are doing great. You got better than a double going. When that happens to me which is very very rarely, I sell half and let the other half ride free. Good trading to you.

Hasn't done anything for past couple of years, has a blank check on the common without share holder approval, negative earnings with PE in the hundreds, I'm tired of typing :). texastrader: $HUSA - Ok, I'm not going to hammer on this so this is the last I have to say. My concern / comments are directed to anyone new to trading only.
1. The news letter (hiddenequites or something) states they are drilling a well at a cost of 10 mil. - ... - dwmnr: $HUSA - @DAN and TEAM - Would someone please comment on the chart of HUSA?
- Tim S: $HUSA - not @Dan, but I took a look at it. Definitely not a Right Here Right now candidate. It's run up quite a bit. If I were long this stock, I would have a stop loss order set right below today's intraday low, to lock in profits. RSI indicates the stock is well overbought, and the On Balance Volume is declining now. Volume has been decreasing over the last few days. Under the "expect the expected" I would expect this to pull back some. It's been riding the upper Bollinger band for a while; it's due to pull back. I hope that helps some. - @Tim $S
- ronaldrussell: $HUSA - Ditto I would be locking in profits. They had a 2M share offering to institutional investors @ $4.68 in Dec. I would expect some profit taking.
